Players from Ligue 1 on AFCON

Huddersfield Town vs Birmingham City

Danns joined Huddersfield on loan from Leicester until the end of the season earlier this week and is expected to feature. But Simon Grayson has doubts about the fitness of defenders Joel Lynch (hamstring) and Calum Woods (groin), who has missed the last three matches, winger Danny Ward (knee), sidelined for the last four, plus strikers Jimmy Spencer (hamstring) and Alan Lee (back).

Birmingham City are ready to welcome back four senior players from injury.
And Nikola Zigic (att 16/5) is free from suspension for tomorrow’s trip to Huddersfield Town.
Paul Caddis (df 7/0), Jonathan Spector (df 21/0), Peter Lovenkrands (att 14/2) and Marlon King (att 21/12 topscorer) have returned to training and are likely to be in the squad, although Lee Clark isn’t counting any chickens.

Championship » Cardiff – Ipswich

Cardiff rest all first team players in fa cup game with conference side Macclesfield so they are all fresh. Midfielder Aron Gunnarsson (24/6) is doubtfull but seems he will be fit. Peter Whittingham (mf 25/7) is fit. They are best team in league, specially strong at home and coach showed how is he focused on Premierleague promotion and Championship title..

On the other side Ipswich played fa with Aston Villa, also rotate squad but not wven close like Cardiff. They loose first goalkeeper Stephen Henderson (16/0). First he get injured and than come back to his club West ham. They bring tree new players, strikers. David McGoldrick can be dabngerous, he is attacker which scored 16 goals in 22 rounds of in league one. But it is questionable how will he adjusted on stronger league and need time to adjust to new club. Other two are not so dangerous in my eyes, Aaron McLean (att but just 8 goals in 3 championship seasons) and Frank Nouble (in 4 seasons he scored 8 goals in all leagues, most of them, five, was in league two)

Middlesbrough vs Watford

Mowbray’s injury woes ease
Middlesbrough have been boosted by the return to training of five key players ahead of the visit of Watford.

Defenders Andre Bikey, Seb Hines and George Friend (all hamstring) and midfielders Faris Haroun (hamstring) and Emmanuel Ledesma (knee) have all joined in with their team-mates again and will be assessed ahead of Saturday.

Petrolul-U Cluj

Chairman of petrolul had U Cluj untill this season, than he changed club, buyed U Cluj and bring manny players to his new club..some relationships stayed between this two clubs..Financial police was investigate this last days (all transfers for free but they thing it was artound 11 mil money laundering)

last season 2/1 (than he already planned to buy petrolul)

now U Cluj need to stay in league, Petrolul is ambiicious and wanna play europe..bad situation for us bettors when both need but i dont belive Petrolul will demolish them, my choice is +1,5 U Cluj

Memmingen – Buchbach  2 @ 2,2

Quality difference on away side. Hosts usually has young squad, today they will be even younger:

Staff: With Harald Holzapfel (30/im image) is now also the last veteran of the defense. The captain had paid at 1:0 coup in Nuremberg his fifth yellow card and has to miss. If it with Daniel Böck (28) again and he does not go Holzapfel can not represented in the four chain, the last very low average age of 20.6 years, the team is pushed even further. The straight into gerückte Branko Nikolic complained after the intense game in Nuremberg about knee problems. As a substitutes for the defense nor Christoph glass from the U23 out of the question. His suspension has expired.
So, out are: Holzapfel (df 18/2), Bader (df 18/1), Böck (att 17/2), Decker, Friedrich (att 4/1), Heger (mf 14/1), Hodzic, Kahric (mf 11/1), Zobel and Wassermann(df 13/0) and Nikolic (mf 3/0)
Buchbach is solid team, has topscorer Lex (18/15), 2nd best attacking league side and should won. Memmingen has hard defense but today lot missings..

..coming with reserves..

Friendly International, Canada – Trinidad & Tobago

Montreal Impact's Evan James, middle, in action for Canada's Olympic team.

Make no mistake about it, from Canada’s point of view, Wednesday’s friendly against Trinidad and Tobago in Florida has very little to do with preparing for the World Cup qualifiers in September.

The FIFA international date is on the calendar, at least for now, so Canadian coach Stephen Hart would be foolish not to take advantage of it, even if his he has other reasons for doing so.

On the 18-man roster there are probably ten or so players who will get the call for the meaningful qualifying matches down the road. The remaining group is a combination of fringe players and youngsters that Hart doesn’t get to see very often. And so it’s important to get them worked into the national team set-up and monitor their progress.

Lucas Cavallini is a perfect example. Hart did get a look at the young forward during the Olympic qualification tournament in the spring, but since he plays professionally in Uruguay, there are not many other opportunities. Cavallini is yet to be capped at the senior level and a friendly doesn’t count, but you can bet Hart is keeping close tabs on the Toronto-born striker, as he has Argentine ties through his father.

Cavallini is one of four players on the roster born in the 1990s. Toronto FC’s Doneil Henry, the Montreal Impact’s Evan James and the Vancouver Whitecaps Russell Teibert are the others.

All four were solid contributors on that Olympic team and there’s no doubt Hart is hoping they can all develop into players that can help the cause down the road. This is the first senior call up for all of them.

If you are wondering why there are hardly any European-based players on the team, it’s because this nonsensical FIFA international window is only 72 hours long and teams don’t have to release players until 48 hours before kickoff.

It doesn’t make much sense to try and bring in players from Europe under those circumstances. You’d be doing the player more harm than good. Watch for this FIFA date to disappear completely before too long.

For now it’s here, Hart will use it, and he’ll hopefully learn some things about some young players that perhaps he didn’t know. But solid preparation for the World Cup qualifiers in September this is not. Perhaps a year from now some of these players will be in the picture. The question is will Canada still be in the picture by then — or by November is more to the point.

Copa Chile

Iberia – U. De Concepcion

U de Concepcion will save his main players for league game and play with reserves against 3rd league club (segunda division)

A. Italiano – U. Catolica

This game already start (0-1) but maybe you can take it live, Catolica is rotating, will use lot reserves
