The 23rd edition of the world’s premier annual men’s volleyball tournament will be held from May 18 to July 1 with the Finals set to take place in Sofia, Bulgaria from July 4 to 8.
For the first time in the tournament’s history, the World League Intercontinental Round, still featuring 16 teams across four pools, will be played across four weeks with each country hosting all four teams in their respective pool on one weekend each.
The change in competition format is to accommodate a busy schedule which includes qualification tournaments for the London 2012 Olympic Games and also takes into consideration other sporting events which currently crowd the calendar ahead of the Olympics.
Like 2010, the Finals will feature six teams, with the four pool winners and best runners-up joining Bulgaria.
So, Bulgaria is hosting group D this last week and than are they also hosts for finals. So they have fans and that’s big plus for them. They are 2nd in group but they are automaticly qualified as home team of finals. But finaly are coming for 4 days and there is no time for experiments any more. They must play good and win.
As i mention before for Argentina, they left all main players in Buenos Aires to prepare for Olimpics (coach stay too) so they are here with B team.

Paddy Power miss odds here. Germany is best team in group, already secured olimpics but one point near to history resault. They never played finals of World league and now must won point in last 2 games. And they will do it in this game.
Portugal is worst team in group D. Not just in that group, in whole World league,. They are only tteam which loose all 10 games. Their weeknes was wisible when they loose also against Argentina B team (Argentina left all main players in Buenos Aires to prepare for Olimpic games). They won yesterday one set (first) ahainst Bulgaria but today i dont expect neither one.
Germany won yesterday 3-0 Argentina B team and stay on top. They had captein back yesterday so today also with strongest squad: Der deutsche Kader für die Vorrunde in Sofia: Marcus Böhme (VfB Friedrichshafen), Sebastian Schwarz (Perugia/ITA), Markus Steuerwald (Paris/FRA), Marcus Popp (Tours/FRA), Simon Tischer (Wegiel/POL), Christian Dünnes (Generali Haching), Denis Kaliberda (Valentia/ITA), Max Günthör (z.Zt. ohne Verein), Georg Grozer, Lukas Kampa (Belgorod/RUS), Ferdinand Tille (Sete/FRA), Björn Andrae (Kemerovo/RUS), Christian Fromm (evivo Düren)
Germany big favorites here, need at last one set but they will easy win this one. POP miss odds
